the past couple of months have been such crazy, busy, and fun months. thankfully, i have been able to take lots of pictures so i have a couple hefty picture posts. it is also why the period that i am posting is less than a full month. the picture that i did have from the 11th was a picture that i didn’t want to separate from the easter pictures so i will be posting it with those.

there are a lot from last month, though. i don’t usually like to post more than one picture from any certain day to keep a pretty decently modest picture summary but i had way too many favorites to pick just one or two so, in effect– PICTURE OVERLOAD!

dear august,

there have been the months (every month) that i have written that time has flown. this month really has. and not in just all of the ways in which you’ve grown but in all of the things that have happened in just a matter of 30 days. or at least all of the things that seem to have happened.

seven month pictures! sadly, i was surprised to find that i hadn’t taken a whole lot of pictures this month as we were pretty busy with guests. still some good ones, though! his eight month picture post is definitely going to be a hefty one!

this took me FOR-EH-VER. not just to finally get to posting but to sort through, pick out favs, pull off of mark’s computer, pull up on my computer, resize, edit, and upload all the while taking care of baby boy.

this is also a little picture heavy. it’s those holiday pics, man! i only picked out my favs and the ones that kinda’ told a story of his fifth month. i will be updating lots more pictures and complete albums on facebook soon.

i have been really crappy at updating this with pictures of august. if you have a facebook and we’re facebook friends, you can see pretty up to the date images there. however, i understand not everyone has a facebook. part of me wants to say, “everybody should have a facebook,” and the other part of me wants to say, “you’re probably better off.”

anyway, so i’m kind of totally jocking sarah and adrian’s picture idea but, really…it’s a good idea for the months like august when i just sucked at keeping this updated with pictures.

also, i am well aware that this post would have come much sooner if i weren’t so anal about the images being the appropriate sizes. this took longer than you’d think it would…especially having a brand new baby and a really seksi husband fighting for my time. i can’t complain.

while writing out an entry to sum up august’s first month in the world, i decided to write it out in letter form to him to share with him when he’s old enough to care and read about it. i decided that our public blog would be the best way to chronicle this as it would never be lost, won’t take up space, would be easy to type and save, and would be easy to find and make available to august when and if he ever wanted to read it.

this is also late getting up because august really has done a good job of keeping my hands tied…and when they’re not tied, i can promise to you that i’m sleeping or spending some quality time with the hubs (mark) which are all three more important to me than keeping this up to date.
