this took me FOR-EH-VER. not just to finally get to posting but to sort through, pick out favs, pull off of mark’s computer, pull up on my computer, resize, edit, and upload all the while taking care of baby boy.

this is also a little picture heavy. it’s those holiday pics, man! i only picked out my favs and the ones that kinda’ told a story of his fifth month. i will be updating lots more pictures and complete albums on facebook soon.

dear august,

today, i decided that we’d dance to coldplay (rockabye coldplay to be exact). we danced to the first couple of songs, you smiled, and seemed fascinated and amused by the way our moves matched with the music.

so funny. a friend of ours posted on my facebook wall telling me that she just got a package back that she sent for august late december. she hadn’t even seen the blog post! too funny.

i found a slip from UPS telling us that someone (it doesn’t say who) tried to send us a package marked to “august retzloff” via. UPS at the end of december.

dear baby boy,

this month has been a crazy one what with visits to Christmas tree lots and santa and visits from grandma nancy, grandpa daryl, santa, and even more growing pains (accompanied with some sore gums)!

new years eve, we all went out to look for some new years eve party gear and saw this on display. we put august in it to see what he would do since we’ve been debating on getting him a bouncer or walker and he instantly fell inlove with it (wouldn’t stop grinning and looking at everything)! so, we told grandma about it and, no questions asked, she put a check in the mail so we could get it for little guy.

THANKS, GRANDMA! it’s a real hit! for both baby and mommy since i can put him in there for a bit to do things like cook dinner or…GO TO THE BATHROOM.
