062408:WEEKLY UPDATE (32/33 WEEKS).

How far along are you?
33W5D.

What symptoms are you experiencing?
slight swelling in feet and hands, insomnia/weird sleeping patterns, heart burn, peeing constantlyyyy.

How are you feeling?
generally good…HUGE.

Any Dr. appointments/ultrasounds/tests this past week and how did they go?
no, but i’ll have my monthly check up with the midwife tomorrow and i’m pretty sure, after that, i am going to begin seeing the midwife every two weeks.

Anything big happening in your personal life (moving, work related, etc..)
not really. just trying to prepare (ourselves and our home) for this baby.

Any questions you want to ask?
nope, nope.

Any belly pics from this week?
yes…

thirty three weeks!

and since elizabeth asked to see my face and i was feeling surprisingly productive, here’s this:

Any food cravings?
fruit snacks, fruit, icy cold drinks, and fla-vor-ice. basically cold, sweet, fruity things. i think it has sommething to do with the heat.

Tell us your favorite thing about your pregnancy this week!
we had our second child birth class tonight and practiced some breathing techniques and got to include our partners/husbands in the process. it was really nice to relax with mark and focus on and practice preparing for the day our little one is born. it was especially nice that, afterward, mark said he really enjoyed it and was excited about it. :)

    Awwwwww. You look great!

I love the way you are documenting this!

Hang in there, and enjoy as much as possible! The crazy sleeping pattern thing may actually come in handy. Maybe God is grooming you for schedules to come. :) But don’t worry! It will be sooo okay.

hi guys!! so, did u guys decide if you were going to do the whole delivery process all natural or have an epidural?

mandy- thank you! we can’t wait to see youuuu! :)

elizabeth- thank you! it’s actually crazy how fast my hair is growing. the lady that cut my hair a little over a month ago cut it wayyyy too short and it’s already close to the length that it was before i got it cut! i think it’s the hormones or something related to this baby. not to suggest anything… :o

kimberlee- absolutely. and what sucks about the pee thing is feeling the need to go really bad and then barely anything coming out. definitely not gratifying!!!

debbie- aww, thank you, debbie. i actually wish i was doing a better job at documenting it but i am glad that i’ve kept up with atleast some sort of conistent update for the most part! anyway, your comment made me tear up. thank you for always checking this. we miss you and can’t wait to see you.

jasmine- we hope to go all natural (a lot of movement, showers, breathing techniques, nothing but maybe a simple synthetic narchotic to take the edge off if i feel the need for one). i don’t even want to be offered an epi. until we’re nearing the point where it would be too late to administer one. once i know that, i’ll decide whether or not the pain is bearable enough and i have the strength to go on without one. as much as i’d really like to go without one, it is good to know that the option is there.

Have you thought of a tens machine for pain? Mine really helped, at least until I’d been awake for 4 days and couldn’t remember my own name, then I had an epidural!!

hmm…i haven’t heard of a tens machine, no. but i will look it up and ask about it in my child birth class. i am not sure if it is something that our hospital provides. :i

you were in labor for four days?!?!?!
