welcome to our little blog. this page, as well as a few other areas of the site, are under construction but we couldn’t not share it for a single moment longer!

this is just here to keep our friends and family, especially those far away, updated on our pregnancy and growing family! it’s so important for us to be able to share this experience with you and encourage you to check back often as we plan to have this updated pretty frequently.

name: august rylan retzloff.
due date: 08/07/08.
delivering hospital: TBD.
favorite things to do: kick mommy in the stomach, punch mommy in the stomach, head but mommy in the stomach, make mommy tired, wake mommy up in the middle of the night, mess with mommy’s bladder, and [last but not least] kung fu.

some important info. on mommy and daddy:

names: sarah and mark
ages: sarah- 26 mark- 26
birthdates: sarah- 12/20 mark- 06/27
wedding anniversary: 01/15/06
favorite things to do: sarah- sleep, take baths, hang out with mark, watch 24, and plan/prepare for this baby. mark- visit apple rumor sites, hang out with sarah, think about all the things he’s going to teach skittle, and watch 24 and the food network.
cravings: sarah- sweets, cold fruit (peaches, oranges, and strawberries), big macs, and oreos dunked in milk! mark- meat.

birth plan:

home/hospital: hospital birth but the hospital is yet tbd.
labor preferences: natural/vaginal birth.
pain treatment: not sure.
breastfeeding: yes.

why “skittle”?

why not?! the name actually came from a friend of sarah’s that was comparing baby’s size to the size of a skittle. ofcourse, baby has outgrown its once skittle shape but the name’s stuck since since “peanut m & m” and “large sized banana” aren’t as cute…or catchy.
